Highlights
- A brisk but sunny winter's day.
- A delicious lunch of chicken curry at a restaurant with one of the best views in all of Cape Town.
- Photographing the lions (I always loved these as a kid) and Rhodes on his horse. Cecil John Rhodes is not an admired figure in South Africa these days. In fact, just recently UCT students threw excrement all over his statue. Not sure he would be too happy about this!
- The beautiful view from the memorial over Cape Town's southern suburbs.
- A short walk to view the mist over the city through the pines and past lovely silver trees.
